About Direct Shield Warranty
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

When a Windshield Can Be Repaired
Repairs work best when the damage is small, contained, and not in a critical area. Common repairable types include:
Bullseye chip – up to 1″ in diameter
Star break – up to 1″ in diameter
Half-moon (partial bullseye) – up to 1″ in diameter
Combination break – up to 1″ in diameter
Repairs are safe and effective when:
The damage does not extend to the edge of the glass
It is not in the driver’s direct line of sight
The crack has not penetrated the inner plastic safety layer
It is not in front of ADAS cameras, sensors, or HUD projection zones
What Does Not Qualify for a Repair (and Requires Replacement)
Some types of damage simply cannot be safely repaired under your warranty. A full windshield replacement is required if:
Cracks are longer than 1 inch
Chips are larger than a dime
Damage is at or extends to the edge of the windshield
Multiple chips are clustered close together
Spider-web or complex cracks branch from a single impact
Any damage penetrates the inner glass layer
Damage is in the driver’s line of sight
Damage is located near ADAS cameras, sensors, or HUDs
In short: If your windshield damage meets the repair criteria above, we’ll take care of it under your DealerXShield warranty. If it does not qualify, a replacement is required to maintain your safety, visibility, and the integrity of your vehicle.
